2008 Annual Fund Raising Event -- Don't Miss It!

Insight For New Housing invites you to celebrate with the Developers and Organizers of our community. On Thursday, April 24, 2008 Insight for New Housing will once again host our Annual Fund Raising Event at Maestros Catering Hall, 1704 Bronxdale Avenue, Bronx, New York, from 7pm until 11pm.

There will be a special appearance by Four Time Grammy Winner Ms. Regina Belle!

Monsignor Donald Sakano, Founder of Highbridge Community H.D.F.C.
Ms. Christina Curry, Executive Director, Harlem Independent Living Services Center and Staff
Michael (Max) Knobbi, Executive Director of Bronx-Net Television (Public Access Channels 67 thru 70)

These humble individuals have been quietly succeeding at creating a New York City and State that responds to the needs of all the residents and giving access to the frail and the differently able. Insight would like you to join us as we recognize their accomplishments, some of which you might know and some you might be surprised to hear.

2007 Annual Fund Raising Event -- Not to be Missed!

On Thursday, April 26, 2007 from 6 p m until 11 p m Insight for New Housing will host an Annual Fund Raising Event. This event will take place at Maestros Catering, located at 1703 Bronxdale Avenue.

It will be our pleasure to honor three individuals who have served the public good, in particular, the disabled community, for more years than some would like to remember.

The honorees are:

Mr. Hal Jackson, W B L S Radio Personality
Ms. Susan Mendoza, Executive Director of Bronx Independent Living Service Center
Mr. Mathew Sapolin, Commissioner of the Mayors Office for Persons with Disabilities

Grammy award winner Mr. Dave Valentin, jazz soloist Gia Williams, The New Amsterdam Musical Association and the children of High Bridge Voices have donated their expertise along with others to make this occasion memorable.

You will be dining and dancing with sounds provided by a musical d.j, with special guest Master of Ceremony Doctor Bob Lee.

Learn about some of the newest products and services to assist people with visual, hearing, and mobility disabilities. Saturday, September 16th, 2006, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at The Bronx Library Center. Admission Free!


BRONX ON BROADWAY: "A Family Day with The Lion King" Essay Contest

Insight For New Housing Inc. and others are sponsoring an Essay Contest! This contest is open to all blind or legally blind individuals. Participants must write a 250 word essay on "How I Have Overcome Obstacles and taken Charge of my Life." The winner will receive tickets to The Lion King and dinner on Broadway! Entry Deadline: April 30, 2006 Time: Midnight.


JAZZ FOR PEACE

Featuring Rick DellaRatta with special invited guest Dave Valentin

On Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 7 pm, we will be presenting a Jazz for Peace concert at Eleanores, 509 East Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY (between Washington and Bathgate Avenues). This will be a very special benefit concert to raise funds, as well as publicity and awareness, for Insight for New Housing, Inc. In addition, Dave Valentin will be appearing with the band as a special guest!
